The YMCA will host its second annual Cool Pool Parties series this Saturday, July 28, from 7 to 10 pm.

Guests can get a glimpse of some of the Island’s beautiful properties and pools, opened to the public by the residents who own them, and indulge in food, drinks, and entertainment at one of four parties with different themes and locations, in support of the YMCA.

Bash on the Hatch will take place on Hatch Road in Vineyard Haven, hosted by Kathy and Jim Gidwitz. Dance the night away to New York City-based pop band Andy Suzuki & the Method, and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and beverages from The Kitchen Porch and Vita Coco.

At Take Me Out to… Menemsha, hosted by Julie Flanders and Sarah and Bob Nixon, watch the sun set over the Menemsha Harbor and village, and meet the M.V. Sharks. Food from The Home Port and the Beach Plum Inn and drinks from Our Market and Vita Coco will be available through the evening.

Jack Wills University Outfitters will kick off the London Olympics with Olympics on the Waterfront at Herring Creek Farm in Edgartown, overlooking Katama. YMCA swim teams will lead water polo games and DJ beats will blast from the speakers in celebration of the start of the Olympics, which will be shown on the party’s big screen. An American Buffet will be provided by Jaime Hamlin and Sons and Vita Coco. Mary and Dan Stanton, Charlotte and John Klein, and Susan and Jim Swartz will host the event.

The fourth party, Surprise Me!, will be hosted by the YMCA.

The events will also showcase accomplishments by YMCA summer campers.

Tickets are $150, tax deductible, and include admission, food, and entertainment. They are available at ticketsmv.com/ymca and at the YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard. Visit ymcamv.org/news-events/cool-pool-parties for more information.
