Last Sunday, July 29, Vineyard Haven’s art community let loose for “Celebrate the Arts, Vineyard Haven!” hosted by the Tisbury Business Association. Between 4 and 7 pm, pedestrians were free to explore Main Street’s galleries and stores, which held special events through the evening.

At galleries such as Louisa Gould, Shaw Cramer, and Night Heron, drinks and light fare were served as guests admired the displayed works of featured artists. Some artists, such as Leslie Baker, discussed their work and techniques with an audience of curious onlookers.

The art forms were not limited to visual; literary, performing, and culinary arts were also showcased throughout Main Street with music by Nathaniel Horwitz on the harp, book signings at the Bunch of Grapes, and more.

“Celebrate the Arts, Vineyard Haven!” will be repeated on Sunday, August 12, also from 4 to 7 pm.
