In defense of Oak Bluffs people
To the Editor:
I take issue with Steve Maxner's Letter to the Editor last week. In it, he writes about people taunting, harassing, and throwing beer bottles at him while he protested the shark tournament in his kayak. He says, "The good citizens of Oak Bluffs took taunting and disrespect to another level indeed."
I would venture that most of the people on boats in the harbor who were responsible for the abuse weren't from the Island at all, let alone Oak Bluffs. I believe he owes the good citizens of Oak Bluffs an apology.
