To the Editor:
To the person who helped themselves to the bags of cans and bottles that were in the back of my truck on Morgan Way, my son and I were away last week at a Boy Scout Camp in New Hampshire. During our stay; we were around a great group of people learning different ways to live our lives by the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.
Unfortunately around 2 am Tuesday, someone decided to be the opposite of what a Scout is. They went into the bed of my truck and took my son’s hard-earned money. I would not usually care if they were mine, but they belong to my son.
The next time you decide to help yourself to the bags of cans and bottles in my truck, remember two things. First, you’re stealing from a kid, and two, knock on my door instead. I will scrape together $20 to give to you.
