The Dark Knight Rises (PG-13)

In this dark film about the dark knight, Batman meets his toughest opponent yet, as he takes on a special mission to fight the criminal, Bane, who is about to bring Gotham down even as the city has branded Batman an enemy. The Expendables 2 (R)

This action movie hall of fame adventure reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy task, but that wouldn’t give the stars a chance to flex their muscles or their stares. Moonrise Kingdom (PG-13)

Director Wes Anderson’s latest takes place on an Island off of New England and stars some of his usual crew: Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman, along with Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand, Jared Gilman, and Kara Hayward. While at camp, two 12-year-olds fall in love and run away, and the quiet Island community is turned upside down.

The Odd Life of Timothy Green (PG)

A Disney super feel-good flick about an incredible son who materializes for a childless couple, making their wishes come true. Starring Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, and CJ Adams.

ParaNorman (PG)

An animated adventure comedy about a disaffected boy who can see and talk to the dead who struggles to save his town from the unknown. Includes the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendrick, Casey Affleck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

The young Sparkle and her two sisters become a successful singing group during the Motown-era in the 1960s. Their tight-knit family suffers as the complications grow with their fame. Starring Jordin Sparks, Carmen Ejogo, and Whitney Houston in her final on-screen performance.

Total Recall (PG-13)

A science fiction action film that plays deadly games with what may or may not be memory. A remake of the 1990 film of the same name, it stars Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Bokeem Woodbine, and Bryan Cranston.
