Music : 'American Idol' finalist makes quick visit to Martha's Vineyard

"American Idol" 2012 finalist Erika Van Pelt took a break from the American Idol Live Tour this past Friday, Aug. 24, and performed a gig with The Sultans of Swing.
A member of the band until she landed a spot on the show, Ms. Van Pelt performed with The Sultans at Atlantic Fish and Chop House in Edgartown, a familiar venue for the singer. A native of Kingston, R.I., Ms. Van Pelt finished 10th on "Idol" and is currently on tour with the rest of the finalists.
