Potter Washington Ledesma of Oak Bluffs guest-curated a new ceramics show now on view at Featherstone Center for the Arts. Twelve artists are displaying their interpretations of how clay can represent notions of flight.

“Flight denotes air, lightness, and movement,” Mr. Ledesma says. “It speaks to the wonderful creativity of these ceramists that they are able to marry the two, Flight and Earth, in one specific object.

The 12 artists are: Carole Cronig Abrahams, Nancy Blank, Scott Campbell, Francis P. Creney, Sandra Grymes, Will Hunter, Jennifer Langhammer, Washington Ledesma, Ilka List, Jennifer McCurdy, William O’Callaghan and Candy Shweder.

The Art of Flight Ceramics Show, through September 12, Featherstone Center for the Arts, Oak Bluffs. For information, call 508-693-1850, or go to featherstoneart.org.
