Music baton is passed

Joyce Maxner, director of Music Together of Martha’s Vineyard, announced that after 15 years of instructing she has decided to hand over the business to her daughter, Jennifer Maxner Powers, who has been teaching with her for the past 3 years. Joyce will remain as a teacher.

In the Music Together classroom, children 5 years and under, with their parents in tow, sing, dance, and play with a variety of instruments. This facilitates the development of basic music competence in a child-friendly environment, according to a press release.

The fall ten-week session begins Sept. 11 with eight class times offered per week. For more information contact Jenni Powers at 774-487-4464 or bewellmv@hotmail.com.
