The Living Local Harvest Festival is an all-day affair scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 am to 3 pm. Held at the Ag Hall in West Tisbury, there are all kinds of activities that promote living sustainably on the Vineyard: interactive demos, pumpkin carving, cider pressing, pony and cow rides, and much more, in combination with fresh local food from Morning Glory Farm, The FARM Institute, 7A, and Beetlebung Farm, and local oysters.
Admission is free. For more information, email email@example.com.
The festival concludes with a community potluck dinner from 6 to 10 pm, which is also free if one brings a potluck dish for six made with local ingredients and place settings, or $10/person, $30/family of four.
Enjoy a free live concert with Adam Lipsky and friends at the Menemsha Town Beach on Sunday, Sept. 23, from 4 to 8 pm. The concert is in connection with an E Waste Awareness Collection Day, where you can dispose of working appliances and computers, and a community potluck jam on the beach from 12 noon on.
