No on Obamas
To the Editor:
In 2007, Michelle Obama stated, "For the first time in my life I'm proud of my country." Five years later after Barack's tax, spend, and regulate policies, 23 million Americans are out of work, 8.1 percent unemployed. 15 percent unemployed if you include people that stopped looking for work. Young, black Americans under 25 that are unemployed is at 50 percent. We have 47 million Americans that are on food stamps, up from 17 million in 2001. The Middle East is in chaos, even after Obama apologized to Muslims for four years. Our U.S ambassador was sodomized and killed by muslims that Ms. Obama's husband has been embracing for almost four years.
Are you proud of your country now?
The First Lady tells voters she and Barack understand what it is to struggle to make ends meet. She talked about their early years, how Barack drove a car that was rusted out and that he found his furniture in a dumpster and that they both came from families that had to scrape by. Sounds like a fairy tale to me.
Mr. and Mrs. Obama started their adult lives easier than most Americans, with both attending elite schools. Michelle went to Whitney Young, a public magnet school for Chicago's upper class. Barack went to Punahou, a private prep school for the top stratum of Hawaiian society. Both were accepted to Ivy League schools despite undistinguished credentials, and both attended Harvard Law school. Michelle stated that their combined student loan bills were higher than their mortgage. Sounds bad but the fact is they both had just graduated from a very expensive law school, and their combined income from their law firm jobs dwarfed the repayment.
Barack and Michelle had expensive tastes and in 1993 they bought a two bedroom condo for $277,500, then one year later a $1.65 million mansion in Hyde Park, with help from that fine outstanding citizen fraudster Tony Rezko. Michelle started to enjoy their lavish lifestyle at taxpayers expense directly and indirectly. Obama was elected to the U.S Senate. He got a $1 million earmark for the University of Chicago hospital, and Michelle's salary went from $121,910 to $316,962, more than 2.5 times what she was already being paid. (I would like to get a 250 percent raise on my Social Security check.) What was her job? Pushing poor uninsured patients to other hospitals.
Democrats are eager to point that the Romneys enjoy the privilege of private money. They don't point out that the Obamas have been enjoying the same privileges, funded by public money. They donated little to charity until the Obamas came into the public spotlight, but contributed to a church that preached racial division. Michelle stated that truth matters to the nation. But, so far she has evaded the truth with no consequences yet. Obama is bad for America and the American people.
