Poets Corner: Seasons
Seasons
As I drive through the colors of fall
I can feel my heart open up to change
I embrace the beauty that surrounds me
Then close my eyes and breathe a sigh….
Soon darkness will come early and
The nakedness of the trees
Exposed and fragile, stand bare
I want to get lost in sunlight
When energy soaks
Through my veins and my spirit comes alive!
Fall…. beautiful leaves bursting in color
Winter… darkness, cold, empty
Spring… flowers, rebirth, new beginnings
Summer…, laughter, warmth, long days
I surrender once again to the change….
