To the Editor:
Who’s keeping secrets? Mitt Romney has issued only one year of his tax returns and seems determined to keep it that way. His recent decision to provide additional summaries is an arrogant attempt to appease us. What does this tell us about his leadership attitude and style?
We need a national leader who is forthcoming and respectful of American citizens. Since he professes to be a good choice for the office of president, based on his experience as a successful businessman, one would think he would be eager to make his tax returns transparent. We do not need a leader who is secretive and wants to protect himself when information might be unfavorable to him.
If Mitt Romney refuses to release his tax returns now, what would he withhold from the American public as its leader?
