Tip of the week
Life Master Mollie Whalen provides four tips for dealing with an opponent’s overcall. This is the first of those recommendations: “Double by responder usually means that responder had enough points to bid, had the opponent passed, and suggests that the majority of points are in the two unbid suits. If only one of the suits bid by opener and opponent is a major, the double strongly suggests four cards in the other major.”
