Difficult-to-understand drivers

To the Editor:

I wish to express my feelings to those drivers who involve themselves in a hit and run accident. Damage has been done to my car, because of someone doing this to my Saab, and now I will have a costly repair.

I find it difficult to understand that someone would not take the time to write a note of apology and attach it to the front window of the car. Have you not been taught to respect other people’s property?

I have been driving for many, many years and never have I experienced the disregard that this person has shown to me. I wonder if I had come back to my car and saw you, would you also have left the scene of the accident. My hope now is that you and others become aware of your driving on the Martha’s Vineyard roads.
