Vineyard field hockey miss league title with loss to Somerset Berkley
The Vineyard field hockey team is safely in the MIAA state tournament but lost out on winning the Eastern Athletic Conference Title with a 1-0 loss Saturday at Somerset Berkley.
The loss was the second to the Raiders in two weeks. The Vineyarders lost on a late second half goal in the team's previous meeting on October 4 in Oak Bluffs.
The Vineyarders followed up with a 0-0 tie Tuesday afternoon at Barnstable in a non-league contest against the Red Raiders.
The team plays next on Saturday on Nantucket.
