The undefeated MV United Under-14 girls travel soccer team faced one of the toughest challenges of the season in a Cranberry League tilt on Saturday at the West Tisbury School.

The Purple and Black took on Weymouth and for the first time this season they had to come from behind to win. United took the match, 3-2, and improved to 7-0 with two matches remaining in the regular season.

In a tightly contested first half, the visitors scored the only goal.

United turned up its play a notch in the second half and roared to a 3-1 lead. Adelaide Keene scored the equalizer. Whitney Schroeder followed up with a pair of goals to put the match away.

The Vineyard side will take to the road for the final two matches. MVU plays Stoughton on Saturday and meets Dartmouth on November 3. Then, the girls are off to compete in the Soccerween tournament in Lancaster on November 11.
