While Hurricane Sandy unsettled Vineyard Haven Harbor, it devastated parts of New Jersey and New York.
Ryan Murtha of Edgartown is organizing a drive for donated supplies to take to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Originally from Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Mr. Murtha will take the supplies to various parts of New York and New Jersey.
Suggested items, new or used, to donate are: water, blankets, clothes, batteries, diapers, toys, games, food, and pet food. Monetary donations are also accepted, to buy more provisions.
Donations will be collected on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Edgartown Park and Ride, behind Edgartown Pizza. For more information, call Mr. Murtha at 774-521-7225.
