Martha’s Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund awards grants
Grants totaling $7,132 were awarded to four Vineyard groups this fall by the Martha's Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund. The organizations receiving the grants were the MV Center for Living, the MV Chamber Music Society, the MV Youth Leadership Initiative, and Women Empowered to Make Healthy Choices, Inc.
Since 2006, the Martha's Vineyard Savings Bank Charitable Fund has been a donor-advised fund with the Permanent Endowment Fund, the Island's community foundation. The Charitable Fund is the Martha's Vineyard Savings Bank's primary source for providing philanthropic support for nonprofit and community service organizations operating throughout the local area, according to a press release. The Charitable Fund reviews requests for support quarterly.
