After a 15-minute wait for a quorum that didn’t arrive, town officials agreed to postpone the Aquinnah special town meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 15. A quorum in Aquinnah is 39 voters, but only about 25 appeared. Moderator Michael Hebert said selectmen would reschedule the town meeting, most likely in the next few weeks.

Among other questions, voters had been scheduled to decide whether to allocate $16,767 to the town’s share of the Massachusetts Estuaries Project, to study Squibnocket and Menemsha Ponds.

Another article asked for $1,500 from the Community Preservation Act’s historic preservation reserve for the restoration and repair of the Aquinnah Cattle Pound. There were also several other housekeeping measures.
