Edgartown police are investigating two burglaries of downtown businesses on successive nights this week.

Edgartown Det. Sgt. Chris Dolby said that in the evening or overnight hours of Sunday, November 18, someone shattered the glass in the main entrance door of Suka, a clothing store at 12 North Water Street.

A braided turquoise bracelet and beaded wrap bracelet; three Burning Torch halter dresses made from brightly colored turquoise, blue, green, and yellow vintage silk scarves; four pair of James Jeans, four Splendid tank tops; one Velvet embroidered cream colored top, one Mila grey sweater, and an unknown number of pink Suka tote bags were all taken.

On the following night, someone shattered a window and got into the offices of Sandpiper Realty, at 60 Winter Street. Two Intel desk top tower computers and one Acer 22-inch LCD computer monitor are missing.

Detective Dolby asks anyone with information or anyone who sees any of the stolen items to call police.

“If you want to call in or text a crime tip to the police department, please call or text as at 774-310-1190, or email us at crimetips@edgartown-ma.us,” Det. Sgt. Dolby wrote in a news release. “The tips will remain anonymous.”
