Om of Motion in West Tisbury, Martha’s Vineyard’s only dedicated indoor cycling studio, is teaming up with coaching experts from Cycling Fusion, an indoor cycling studio in Pittsburgh, through live Internet and broadcast technology to offer Island cyclists and fitness enthusiasts a national caliber winter training program.
The training begins the week of January 5 and lasts for 12 weeks. There are several broadcast times per week and on weekends, all of them with expert coaches available through live chat, according to an Om of Motion press release.
Om of Motion and Cycling Fusion plans to support riders planning to do charity rides with proper training and by contributing $50 each, for a total of $100, to a charity for each participating rider.
Free demonstrations of the winter training program will be held at Om of Motion on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 am, Sunday, Dec. 16, at 1 pm, and Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 pm.
