The Suns stayed perfect at 4-0 as the RCBL headed past the quarter pole of the regular season.

The winless Bulls (0-4) made a game of it in the second and third quarters Monday night in Edgartown, but the Suns had too much firepower in a 111-93 win.

Down 47-29, midway through the second period, the Bulls went on a 14-1 run to close within five. The Suns led at the half, 52-45.

The Bulls hit the first two buckets after the break to climb within three points, but the Suns found a higher gear and pulled away for a 86-72 lead after three.

Asil (36 points) and Jade Cash (29) piled up the points for the Suns. James Holenko scored 25 and Sterling Bishop added 17.

Four Bulls reached double figures as well. Adam O’ Neal had 25 points, followed by Luke Bettencourt (23), Asa Ray (16), and Jared Silvia (13).

The second contest of the evening pitted the Heat against the Lakers. The first contest between the two, on opening night November 5, was a showcase of offensive ineptitude won by the Lakers. This time, the play was smoother and the shooting more accurate as the Heat won, 111-98. Both teams are 2-2.

The two-time defending champs took a while to warm up and trailed by 47-41 at the break. In the second half, the Heat exploded from the outside, hitting 10 treys, four each from captain Sandy Fisher and John Neto and three from Jason Dyer.

Neto was unstoppable and led the way with 34 points. Lucas Brewer had 23. Tim Scott was the Heat’s treymaker in the first half with four, and five overall, on his way to 19 points. Sandy Fisher finished with 13 points and Jason Dyer scored 12.

Caleb Nicholson led the Lakers with 23 points, followed by Heath Estrella (20), Pat Rolston (14), and James Rolston (14).
