Where were the high school cheerleaders?
To the Editor:
It was lovely to see the junior high cheerleaders pictured in the November 16 Times. As one who could get to only the varsity Vineyard-Nantucket game, I certainly missed the usual fine high school cheerleaders. Knowing there are many parents giving support and time to their young people at that level, I surely hope someone will emerge to provide whatever leadership is needed in 2013.
Though they played a great game, the team clearly missed that aspect, and some players while on the sidelines were seen trying to make fans cheer louder. Long live MVRHS football.
