An Oak Bluffs man was arrested December 5 on child pornography charges in a coordinated investigation that involved State Police on Martha’s Vineyard, Oak Bluffs Police, and State Police assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s office.

Police executed a search warrant at 98 Pennsylvania Avenue in Oak Bluffs on Wednesday afternoon. They arrested Joshua L. Rogers, 25, who lives at that address.

Investigators seized his computer equipment, and they are evaluating the stored images. The case remains under investigation.

Police will seek charges of possession of child pornography and possession with intent to distribute child pornography.

Mr. Rogers was taken to the Dukes County Jail after his arrest, where he will await arraignment in Edgartown District Court.

Police said the arrest was not part of a wider sweep, but came from information they developed through the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s office.
