Skate with Santa
Lace up your skates with the Martha's Vineyard Girls Ice Hockey Team and special guest Santa Claus on Monday, Dec. 24, from 11 am to 1 pm at the M.V. Ice Arena in Oak Bluffs. Winter Solstice celebrations
Solstice celebrations begin at 7 am on December 22 (changed from December 21) at Sassafras Earth Education in Aquinnah. This all-day event includes a ceremonial fire, potluck meals, music, stories and more. Entry is free. For more information, call 508-645-2008.
Spirit Water Retreats is hosting a Winter Solstice bonfire at Featherstone on December 21. Festivities begin at 5 pm with a world-wide chant. From 6 to 9 pm, there will be dancing and music by Biggie Shorty. For more information, call 508-696-1917.
Christmas Day caroling
Sing to and with the residents of Windemere and patients at Martha's Vineyard Hospital on December 25. Meet at the front of the Windemere section of the Hospital at 3:15 pm.
