A new Red Cross van is available to assist Islanders.

Martha's Vineyard now has a new Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicle [ERV].

"The vehicle comes from Hyannis, and will now respond to house fires on the Vineyard," said Ashley Studley, Red Cross communications manager. "It will be used for logistics, bulk distribution, feeding, casework and other disaster-related activities. It is stocked with comfort kits, which include items like toiletries, snacks, water and emergency clothing, among other items."
