Tisbury Business Association honors student volunteer

As part of its "Twelve Days of Tisbury" holiday celebration, the Tisbury Business Association (TBA) Tuesday honored eighth grade student Amanda Bernard for her "outstanding community service."
In a brief presentation, Tisbury School principal John Custer and TBA member Jane Chandler presented Amanda with the Tisbury School Community Service Award and a check for $100.
In a letter to Amanda announcing the award, Ms. Chandler wrote, "Amanda, to give your time so generously and selflessly in the service and for the benefit of others is a gift that is immeasurably good; the ripple effect incalculably but definitely positive."
