Hockey team "Stuff A Bus" for the food pantry begins Friday
The Martha's Vineyard Regional High School boys hockey team will collect food items for the Island Food Pantry as part of its second "Stuff A Bus" campaign.
The project began last year as part of coach Matt Mincone's continuing efforts to have the team take on community projects.
Last year, after consulting with Meredith Goldthwait, president of the boys hockey booster club, Mr. Mincone decided to fill a bus with food and donate it to the food pantry.
Members of the boys hockey program staff the bus and accept all the drop-offs. The collection hours are: 4 pm to 11 pm, Friday; 8 am to 11 pm, Saturday; and 8 am to 10 pm, Sunday.
