Get your lobster rolls

The first chance of the year to get Grace Church’s famous lobster rolls is this Sunday, Jan. 6. From 12 noon to 2 pm, visit the Vineyard Haven church for a roll, chip, and beverage for $15. Add a slice of pie for $4. For more information or to place large orders in advance, call 508-693-0332.

Horwitz on the harp

The Vineyard Haven Library is celebrating the new year with a concert on January 6 featuring young musician Nathaniel Horwitz on the mini-grand concert harp. The program includes such compositions as “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen, “Ground in F” by Henry Purcell, and Nathaniel’s own piece, “Snow on a Summer Day.” The concert begins at 4 pm, and refreshments will be served. Celebrate Kwanzaa

The Martha’s Vineyard branch of the NAACP will celebrate Kwanzaa on January 5 at the First Baptist Church Parish Hall in Vineyard Haven.
