Not surprised by school leaders

January 16, 2013

To the Editor:

None of this infighting amongst the police department and school administration surprises me in the least. The superintendent and the high school administration's total lack of action, especially when complaints regarding the behavior of a varsity coaches and educators are brought to their attention, is a blot on the reputation of our high school. The principal and superintendent need to learn to work with, and listen to, parents and other agencies, such as the Oak Bluffs Police Department.

Problems regarding disreputable coaches, teachers who cannot teach, and the safety of our children should be of a higher priority than budgetary matters.
