Walter Pizzano of Edgartown died peacefully at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital on Saturday, February 2, after a prolonged illness. He was 84.
Originally from Chelsea, he resided in Medford, Arlington, and Acton before retiring to Edgartown. Walter was married to Doris (DeNapoli) who pre-deceased him in 2004. He served briefly in the United States Army.
He is survived by his three children, Susan, Walter, and David, all of Massachusetts, as well as three grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Feb 11 at 2pm in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown Road, Oak Bluffs. A visitation will be held in the funeral home from 12:30pm until the time of the service. The burial at New Westside Cemetery in Edgartown will follow the service. All are welcome to join the family after the burial for some refreshments at the Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located next to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital.
