Rock away your winter blues with Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish this Saturday, Feb. 9, and help raise money for the Chilmark School PTO. Enjoy desserts, drinks, dancing, and silent and live auctions at the Chilmark Community Center from 7 to 11:30 pm. Admission is $15 at the door or visit ticketsmv.com.
Winter walking
Every season of the year the Polly Hill Arboretum in West Tisbury offers something of beauty and interest to visitors. On Saturday, Feb. 9, join staff for a look at plants of interest in the landscape. At this time of year bark and tree structure stand out, along with fruits and berries. The free tour starts at 10 am and runs for a little over an hour. Meet at the Visitor Center and dress for the weather. Call 508-693-9426 for more information.
