Youth hockey
The annual Eric MacLean Memorial Tournament for the Martha's Vineyard Peewees and Bantams scheduled for February 8-10 was postponed due to Nor'easter Nemo. A make up date has yet to be determined.
The Vineyard Peewees will encounter Nor'easters on skates when they travel to Nantucket on February 16 for a double-header. The Nor'easters are undefeated this season and the Vineyard Peewees are in second place. Vineyard coaches Tim Bettencourt, Brandon Willett, and Nelson Dickson have been working the team hard in preparation for the big games.
Victoria crowned champ
Victoria Scott of Edgartown won the girls 12 and under flight girls tennis tournament held at the Manchester Athletic club last weekend. Victoria was 2-1 in her round robin flight and continues to train and work toward a higher ranking. Victoria trains at Vineyard Youth Tennis.
