Please return the trains

To the Editor:

On January 22, my son, his girlfriend, and I boarded the 2:30 ferry in Vineyard Haven after loading luggage and gear onto the baggage cart. When we arrived in Woods Hole, I went to get the car out of the lot while they retrieved the bags and met me at the parking lot exit.

After delivering them to the airport in Boston, I proceeded to New Hampshire for a few days and then back to Boston to deliver a very special gift to my two-year-old grandson — a box full of wooden toy trains for his new collection.

I was shocked to find they were not in the car. They had been left behind on the luggage cart in Woods Hole. Unfortunately, my traveling companions were unaware that the plastic box was mine. I immediately called the Steamship Authority.

They searched the lost and found, as well as the terminals in Woods Hole and Vineyard Haven, to no avail.

Please, if you or someone you know took them, consider that these were a gift from a grandma to her two-year-old grandson and return them to the Steamship Authority or contact me via this newspaper. Thank you.
