MVCS wants a new logo; you can help

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS), whose leadership is changing (see above), wants to change its logo. The multi-agency social service organization will hold a contest to find the right one. The winning entry will be the official logo for the agency, appearing on all internal and external materials.

“If you were to design our logo,” Nell Coogan, the MVCS development director, said this week, “based on our mission and what our agency means to you, what would it look like? If you have an idea, we encourage you to submit it.” Logo entries may be sketched by hand or designed electronically.

Entries must be submitted by email to ncoogan@mvcommunityservices.com, dropped off, or mailed to: Attn: Nell Coogan, director of development and community relations, 111 Edgartown Road, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568. See the submission guidelines for further information.

The deadline for entries is April 5, 2013. “If you are considering submitting an entry, please notify us by March 29,” Ms. Coogan added.

The contest is open to everyone, and the winning design will be announced on or before April 19. Prizes for the winning design include: four tickets to the Possible Dreams Auction, Sunday, July 28, at the Winnetu in Edgartown; a gift certificate to the Chicken Alley Thrift Shop in Vineyard Haven; and recognition.
