Vineyard Bantams roll into Eric MacLean Tourney final

Jacob Gundersen and Josh Forend scored, while goalie Cathal Robinson stopped all 27 shots to lift the Martha’s Vineyard Bantams to a 2-0 win over Ludlow Saturday night at the Martha’s Vineyard Arena in the final round robin game of the Eric MacLean Memorial youth hockey tournament.

The Vineyard will play in the championship game Sunday at noon against either Ludlow or Southeastern Connecticut.

M.V. clinched a berth in the final with a 3-1 win over SE Conn. on Saturday morning. Josh Forend tallied twice and Joe Davies added the insurance goal.

The hosts opened tournament play with a 2-1 win over Winchester on Friday night. Jacob Gundersen and Joe Davies scored the Vineyard goals.
