Jeremy Alley-Tarter, a junior track athlete at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School, topped 82 other runners to win The St. Patrick’s Day-ish road race and fitness walk on Sunday.

Mr. Alley-Tarter completed the 5K course around East Chop in 17 minutes, 17 seconds, leading every step of the way. The victory makes him a three-time winner of the popular event. He won in 2012 and 2010.

Hildee Lewis of Vineyard Haven was the winner in the women’s division, with a time of 21:49. Ms. Lewis was also the winner of the New Year’s 5K earlier this year.
