On Thursday afternoon last week more than 80 students from around the Island gathered at the West Tisbury School to participate in a math "Kangaroo Competition."
"This competition, with over 6 million participants world wide, offers a fun and engaging entry point into competitive mathematics," said Mary Boyd,
West Tisbury School interim assistant principal in an email to The Times. "Students were challenged by the problems, which encouraged problem solving and multi-step thinking."
