The 22nd Annual Strings Concert on Sunday at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown featured students of music teacher Becky Barca-Tinus. Ranging in age from six to sixty, the performers played a variety of pieces, from classical music to familiar folk songs, before an appreciative audience.

Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School senior Olivia deGeofroy, who has studied violin with Ms. Barca-Tinus for 15 years, performed solo. She plans to major in music in college next year.

The strings concert was the first performance in the Whaling Church since artist Margot Datz completed an architectural mural behind the stage wall.
