Two theaters on Martha’s Vineyard, The Vineyard Playhouse and Island Theatre Workshop, are currently running auditions for summer productions.
The Vineyard Playhouse is looking for young, non-equity actors of all ethnic backgrounds for its summer show, Shakespeare’s “Henry IV.” Auditions are Saturday, May 18, from 11 am to 1 pm and 2 to 4 pm. Wesley Price, founder of the Cape Cod Mushroom Club, will lead an educational walk to discover various mushrooms on the Island this Sunday, May 19, from 10 am to 12 noon at Menemsha Hills Reservation. String students from all of the Island elementary schools come together this Monday, May 20, for a concert, “Rock On,” by Nancy Jephcote, plus many other classic orchestral gems, solos, and a grand finale of “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.” The free concert begins at 6:30 pm at the Performing Arts Center at the M.V. Regional High School.
