Seminar on special needs planning
Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS) will offer a seminar on special needs planning for a family member with a developmental disability from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, May 30, in the Community Center board room.
Frederick M. Misilo Jr., chairman of Fletcher Tilton’s Special Needs and Elder Law Practice Group will present the seminar, sponsored by The Family Support Center of MVCS and The Arc of Cape Cod.
Mr. Misilo practices in the areas of special needs planning, estate planning, elder law, trust administration and guardianship issues.
The workshop will address the unique needs that families have in planning the financial and legal future of their relative with a disability, including: the importance of special needs trusts in planning for government benefits; trustee selection and training; overall estate tax planning; and government benefits.
