Nelson Mechanical Design (NMD) recently partnered with the J.A. Serusa Water Well Company to add water treatment and well drilling to its range of services. NMD provides conventional and “green” alternatives for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.

The additional services from Serusa Water Well Company will enable NMD to offer a complete package, from drilling a well to providing systems for heating water or heat and air-conditioning with fossil, solar, or geothermal sources, plumbing, and water treatment, owner Brian Nelson said in a press release.

Both companies are based in Vineyard Haven. NMD started in 2004 and has expanded it services as a “green” mechanical contractor over the past nine years. NMD was recently picked by Daikin, the largest manufacturer of air conditioners and heat pumps, as the first contractor to be featured as the “Voice of Daikin” in a new national ad campaign. Daikin produces the air source heat pumps that NMD installs in geothermal systems.

The J.A. Serusa Water Well Company has been in business for 29 years. Jeff Serusa launched the comprehensive well drilling and water treatment company in 1984 after managing water development projects in Africa and the Middle East, according to the NMD press release.
