The Trustees of Reservations (TTOR) recently posted a StoryWalk at the Menemsha Hills Reservation in Chilmark, and all are invited to visit the trails and read the story that ultimately leads to the second highest place on the Vineyard, Prospect Hill.
The StoryWalk Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vt., and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library, according to a press release. Participants post pages of children's books along trails, making the walks even more educational and entertaining.
"No Turn for Tern! A Martha's Vineyard Moonlight Mystery" by Rebecca J. Loescher, illustrated by Judith Pfeiffer, is currently posted on the trail, though TTOR will change the books periodically through the seasons.
