To the Editor:

Thank you. “Madmen” Chicken Alley Thrift Shop (MVCS) Benefit Party was a success.

Martha’s Vineyard Community Services’ Chicken Alley Thrift Shop would like to thank Troy Neuenburg and the Sand Bar in Oak Bluffs, DJ Ricky Prime, and Dukes County Love Affair (DCLA) for the very successful and fabulous good time had by all last Friday night at the “Madmen” party to benefit MVCS.

Thank you as well to the wonderful Sand Bar and Grill staff and our amazing community, which came dressed up as their favorite characters from the TV series, “Madmen!”

With musical performances by DCLA and DJ Ricky Prime and a photo area set up to capture the fun throughout the night, we celebrated the beginning of the summer season with friends and raised crucial funds for Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, in true “Madmen” style.

MVCS annually serves 6,000 Islanders, both full-time and seasonal, through its array of programs and services, including the Island Counseling Center, which offers behavioral health and substance abuse treatment; Early Childhood Programs, including Head Start, child care services and education and support through the MV Family Center; CONNECT to end violence, a domestic violence rape crisis center providing free and confidential services; and Disability Services, which offers programs for persons living with disabilities and their families.

Thank you again for a wonderful benefit.
