The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society (MVCMS) will join thousands of musicians and hundreds of concert presenters across the U.S. this May in celebrating National Chamber Music Month.

MVCMS’s annual Spring Concert, on Sunday, May 26 at 4 pm, is part of a nationwide initiative to raise public awareness of the many styles of small ensemble music performed and presented today. Last year, participations spanned all 50 states and featured both well-established and emerging ensembles, according to a press release.

The Spring Concert features renowned musicians Lila Brown, violist with the Boston Conservatory; Michael Wayne, clarinetist with the Boston Symphony; Blaise Dejardin, cellist with the Boston Symphony; and Delores Stevens, pianist and MVCMS artistic director, performing the music of Beethoven, Franck, and Piazzolla.

The concert begins at 4 pm at the Old Whaling Church in Edgartown. Admission is $20 for adults, free for students and children. For more information, visit mvcms.org.
