Planting time

The Polly Hill Arboretum Visitor Center opens for the season this Saturday, May 25, with its annual opening day plant sale from 10 am to 2 pm. Whether you’re a budding gardener or already have two green thumbs, this plant sale will have something for you.

Arboretum staff will be there to answer questions and offer advice on plants chosen for their superior ornamental qualities and adaptability to our Vineyard climate and soils.

Begin the day at 9 am with curator Tom Clark for a pre-plant sale tour to see what’s happening on the grounds and view some mature specimens of the plants that are for sale. For a list of plants for sale, visit pollyhillarboretum.org and click on “current plant list.” For more information, call 508-693-9426.
