The Island Grown Initiative (IGI) will sponsor a Community Farm Day on Friday, June 21, from 4 to 6 pm at the nonprofit’s 41-acre Thimble Farm, reached off the Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road in Oak Bluffs just before the roundabout.
There will be light refreshments and an opportunity to learn about IGI projects, according to a press release. New farm manager Keith Wilda as well as other IGI members and staff will be on hand to answer questions.
IGI, whose goals include supporting sustainable Island farming and food education, plans future Community Farm Days on July 22 and August 28.
