Attendees stepped away from the party last year to board Shenandoah, which was docked at the Tisbury Wharf.

The Tisbury Wharf in Vineyard Haven will be the site of the 22nd annual Seafood Buffet and Auction to benefit Sail Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, July 6.

The evening will commence with complimentary cocktails and a viewing of boats docked at the wharf. Guests can enjoy a drink to the music of the Beetlebung Steel Band. There will also be a silent auction, with chances to win paddleboard lessons, a round of golf, a fishing charter, and more.

The seafood buffet dinner will be catered by V. Jaime Hamlin and Sons, and a live auction will follow with Kathy Kingston of Kingston Auction Company. Items to bid on include getaways to Sugarbush mountain, New York City, South Africa, Jackson Hole, and Punta Cana, as well as local sailing trips, cooking lessons, and signed book collections. Proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will benefit Sail Martha’s Vineyard’s education programs.

Sail Martha’s Vineyard is a nonprofit organization devoted to connecting Island youth to the sea and their maritime heritage through sailing and life skills. Youth classes incorporate topics such as water safety, wind, and a variety of sailing and windsurfing techniques. In the past 20 years, Sail Martha’s Vineyard has introduced more than 3,500 Island children to the skills associated with navigating Vineyard waters.
