Sweet Retreats, a show about vacation rental houses that airs on the Living Well Network, will feature a house located at 179 Upper Main Street in Edgartown, just opposite Cannonball Park on Sunday July 21.
In 2007, partners Harold Chapdelaine owner of Stonebridge Building and Design in Vineyard Haven and Charles C. Francisco teamed up with Island architect Stephanie Mashek to revitalize and preserve the residential gateway to Edgartown. The fully renovated craftsman cottage built about 1925 that will be featured on Sweet Retreats is the first of three properties to be completed, Mr. Chapdelaine said.
While maintaining its modest period streetscape with covered porch and classic dormers the home offers full modern living in over 4,200 square feet of living space, a guest studio, heated pool, and yard space for badminton or croquet.
