Oak Bluffs reminds residents to limit outdoor water use

The Oak Bluffs Board of Water Commissioners is reminding residents that mandatory outdoor water restrictions are in effect for the 2013 season.

First put in place in 2006, the restrictions were instituted to promote water conservation measures during the town’s peak summer season and to satisfy the conditions of a state water management permit.

According to the Oak Bluffs water board, all water customers who have odd-numbered street addresses (based on the enhanced 911 address system) may use outdoor water during odd-numbered calendar days. All water customers who have even-numbered street addresses may use outdoor water during even-numbered calendar days.
